The Black Triton Association

After attending the Black Student Athlete Summit in 2022, I, along with two other attendees, co-founded the Black Triton Association within UC San Diego Athletics. 

We founded the Black Triton Association to connect Black scholar-athletes at UC San Diego across sports, colleges, and areas of study to deepen the student-athlete experience. 

I led the organization as President for two years, growing membership to over 45 scholar-athletes, achieving over 300 followers on the organization's Instagram account, and running at least five events each year.

2025 Scholar-Athlete Graduation

While an Athletics Office Intern at UC San Diego, I leveraged my experience as a scholar-athlete, my relationships with current scholar-athletes, and the support of the Scholar-Athlete success team to reimagine the Senior Send-Off tradition.

I proposed my idea to administrators, supporters, scholar-athletes, and potential sponsors, then planned for months. 

This idea came to fruition as a celebration of the Academic Excellence that the Tritons pride themselves on, creating lasting memories and forging a tradition.
